Porsche is gaining valuable insights for its production sports cars in the first all-electric FIA World Championship. With this commitment, the brand is demonstrating its ambition to play a leading role among traditional car manufacturers in the areas of electrification, sustainability and technology. Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President Porsche Motorsport: “Like Formula E, we want to add innovative technologies and increased sustainability to motorsport. Formula E offers a first-class stage for this: sport at the highest level, interest worldwide and high technological relevance.”
Porsche has presented its Formula E car for the next two seasons: the new Porsche 99X Electric. The all-electric open-wheel racer complies with the regulations for the updated third generation of Formula E cars, called GEN3 Evo, and features all-round improved Porsche in-house developments.
